ONLINE & IN-PERSON COUNSELING

Self-esteem building for women in Wisconsin.

Are you stuck in feelings of self-doubt and shame?

Maybe you’re noticing:

  • an increase in self-critical thoughts

  • challenges being kind to yourself

  • shame-based thoughts increasing

  • difficulties feeling positive about your body or your looks

  • challenges with confidence and self-love

Self-esteem focused therapy can help.

It may feel unattainable now, but you can be more confident. You can be self-assured and love yourself. You can improve your body image and feel good in your own skin. I can help you get there.

Self-esteem focused therapy helps you:

  • notice and stop the self-critical thoughts

  • learn to treat yourself with kindness and respect

  • practice self-love and self-care

  • get to a place of true self acceptance helping you feel confident in being yourself

  • feeling content in your own skin

As your counselor and guide, I will help you through this process, adjusting and tailoring each step to your unique needs. My approach to self-esteem focused therapy comes from a place of hope and a belief that women can feel positively about themselves and have positive self-esteem. You are not the “problem”, sometimes you might get stuck in a pattern of negative thoughts that you need help adjusting. With commitment, time, and patience it can happen.

It’s time to feel confident in
being yourself.

I can help you get there.

FAQS

Common questions about self-esteem focused therapy:

  • In the initial sessions we will focus on information gathering, understanding how your mental health is affecting your self-esteem, building self awareness, coping skills and establishing goals. We will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help challenge negative beliefs and unhelpful thought patterns that are decreasing self-esteem. We will also employ Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to start to grow self compassion, and increase the ability to use mindfulness to increase self-esteem and self-love.

  • The length of counseling services is different for everyone. We will work together to build a therapy plan that works for you. Generally, clients start with psychotherapy services weekly or bi-weekly for 6 to 12 months.

  • The first step is calling (414-899-5915), emailing (info@caitlinwalshcounseling.com), or completing our contact form to book an initial consult. Once we have that consult and make sure we are a good fit for your counseling journey, we schedule our first session. You will get an email with a link to fill out initial paperwork. Then we have our first therapy session either in person or virtually.
